I first worked in journalism at the age of seventeen, and later worked for four years on a local newspaper, with a readership of approximately 30,000 across Dorset and Somerset. My novel started life in 2009 as feature articles in the paper. Having won a 42 grant on the Arvon course, was taught by authors Kathryn Heyman and Jill Dawson. While there, I was asked so often about the pigs, I turned my experiences into a book. I’m a former member of Leicester Writers Club, and a current member of Yeovil Writers Club.
I am writing my first novel based on my real-life transition from being a journalist, to rookie pig farmer, entitled My Dorset Piggy Tale.
